Virginia Jeannette Houston, 55, passed away peacefully at home on January 23, 2020, in Screven, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Donna Mae Hornbrook Hill, her father, George Russell Mammen and her brother Dwayne Emmitt Mammen.
Survivors include her husband of twenty-three years, Thomas Houston of Candor, New York and children, Haley Rose Marshall of Ossining, New York, and Bradley Thomas Houston of Candor, New York. Mrs. Houston was also survived by her siblings and their spouses, Judy and John Atkinson of Sherrills Ford, North Carolina, Yvonne and Ronald Cross of Jesup, Georgia, Dawn and Larry Blackwell of Screven, Georgia, and Michael Mammen and Donna Burns of Johnson City, New York as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Virginia was born on September 26, 1964, in Portsmouth, Virginia. She and her husband, Tom, were married on June 1, 1996 and lived many years in Candor, New York where she worked at Lockheed Martin of Owego, New York as a solderer and quality control inspector. Virginia had a great love for cats and will always be remembered by friends and family for her meticulous attention to detail and her friendly disposition which drew people to her and made her a friend of many.
A memorial service will be held 12 Noon on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at Howard & Jones Funeral Home located at 777 South 1st Street Jesup, Georgia.
