Theodore Lawrence “Ted” Teringer, Sr., 66, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Jesup Health and Rehab after an extended illness.
A resident of Wayne County for over forty years, Ted was born in Ohio and raised in Inglewood, California. After graduation from High School, Ted served his country for four years in the United States Army. While stationed at Fort Stewart, he met and married the love of his life, the late, Barbara Engly Spradley Teringer. Ted was a truck driver by trade for over forty years and loved the open road. His friendly nature and love of people made him a joy to be around and he never met a stranger. Ted loved talking with people, bowling, fishing and spending time with the ones he loved the most.
Survivors include two sons, Theodore Lawrence “Teddy” Teringer, Jr. and Creighton Travis Teringer; his father-in-law, Vernon Spradley; two grandchildren, Brianna Teringer and Elijah Rousey Teringer all of Jesup and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins and other extended members.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Howard and Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Rev. Tim Fulmer officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Manningtown Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
