Tammy Marie Chancey

Tammy Marie Chancey, 47, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup.

A native and lifelong resident of Wayne County, Tammy was born on April 4, 1977.  She was known for her kind and gracious personality and she was always willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need.  Tammy loved crafts of all kinds and she devoted much of her free time to painting, coloring, sewing and making things for the people she loved.  Tammy enjoyed tending to plants and flowers as well as taking care of her cats.  She was big hearted, easy going and never met a stranger.  Her parents, Theron Dillard Lesseur and Pauline O’Berry Lesseur, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her siblings, Edgar Mark Lesseur of Townsend, Tracy Rowe and husband, Paul of Townsend, Shannon Ryals and husband, Terry of Townsend and Michelle Dela-Espriela and fiancé, Lawrence O’Neal of Jesup.  A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2024 at Howard & Jones Funeral Home in Jesup with Chaplain Ryan Wilson officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the services at the funeral home.
