Shellane Louise Brantley, 61, affectionately known by her family and friends as “Shelly,” passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at home.
A longtime resident of Jesup, Shelly was born on October 13, 1959 in Iowa to the late Palmer and Ellen Hubble. She worked numerous jobs throughout her lifetime including positions doing tax preparation, working at a nursing home and house sitting but her greatest love of all was taking care of her beloved family. She was an active member of Little Creek Baptist Church where she served for many years as a Sunday School Teacher. In her spare time, she loved scrapbooking, music, doing arts and crafts and animals of all kinds. In addition to her parents, her brother, Richard Hubble; her sister, Patricia Ann Beltz; her brother-in-law, Billy Brantley and sister-in-law, Carol Bozeman all preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Victor Brantley of Jesup; son, Zach Goettsch and wife, Hallie of Jesup and Chris and Jessica Goettsch of Iowa; brother, Edwin Hubble and wife, Patricia of Williamsburg, Iowa; step children, Casy Harper and husband, Gladwin of Jesup, Victor Brantley, Jr. and wife, Morgan of Screven and Destiny Miller of Jesup and grandchildren, McKenzie Taylor Dolph, Tanner Lee, Gracie Altman and Davin Chrysler. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.
Private services will be held at a later date.
