Selestino M. “Dino” Flores, Jr., 81, passed peacefully into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon, surrounded by his loving family after a lengthy illness.
Dino was born on October 15, 1943, in Austin, Texas. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for four years before embarking on a successful career in sales and marketing that spanned more than four decades. Following his retirement, he relocated to Warner Robins, Georgia, to enjoy the “golden years” of his life.
Dino was actively involved with the American Legion Post 3 in Macon. He cherished spending time with fellow veterans, whether working on projects or simply enjoying their camaraderie. He also found joy in gardening and hitting the golf course in his spare time.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Torralva; his beloved wife of 52 years, Lessie Flores; his daughter, Sabrina Flores; and two brothers, Sam Flores and Art Guerra.
Dino leaves behind a legacy of love and strength through his surviving family: his two sons, P.J. Flores (Heather) of Jesup, Georgia, and Derrick Flores of Macon; two sisters, Joann Rangel (Carlos) of Rancho Cucamonga, California, and Cynthia Hernandez (Ricardo) of Norwalk, California; grandchildren, Braxton Flores (Maddie) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Breighton Flores and Briley Claire Flores of Jesup, Georgia, Jordan Flores of Forsyth, Georgia, and Mallee Kay Ethridge-Wilcox (Bobby) of Dudley, Georgia; and great-grandchildren, Swayde, Aiden, Carter, and Mason. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family, as well as his dear friend, Pat White of Macon.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at the American Legion Post 3, 5530 Thomaston Road, Macon, GA 31220.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 3 in Dino’s honor.
