Sarah Henry

Sarah Henry, 84, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Harborview Health and Rehabilitation under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.

A resident of Jesup for the past ten years and a former resident of Scioto, Pennsylvania for nearly fifty years, Sarah was born on July 3, 1936 in Aguilar, Colorado to the late, Joseph and France Vigil.  She worked as a waitress for most of her life but had also worked several other jobs over the years.  In her spare time, Sarah loved reading, sewing and spending time with her beloved grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, her eight siblings preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter Barbara Nix Matthews and husband, Marty of Bonita Springs, FL; son Jerry Henry, Jr, and wife, Dawn of Jesup, GA and six grandchildren, Christopher Matlock and wife, of Cresco, PA, Steven Henry and wife, Crystal of Steelton, PA, Tara Henry and companion, Darrel of New York City , Dani Ann Fisher and husband, Adam of Fitzgerald, GA, Jerry Henry III and wife Cheyenne of Jesup, GA and Elizabeth Henry and companion, Michael Parr of Jesup, GA.  Eighteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren also survive along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

Private memorial services were held.
