Rose Mary (Leady) Carter

Rose Mary Carter, 76, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Wayne Memorial Hospital under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.

A resident of Jesup for the past twelve years and a former resident of Homestead, Florida for over thirty-five years, Rose was born on October 22, 1942 to the late Earl and Mary Elizabeth Leady.  She was a certified public accountant and executive secretary who worked for many years with Pitts Aviation Enterprise.  In her spare time, Rose enjoyed needlepoint and in her later years, spending time with her friends at Action Pack Senior Center.  Her happiest times were spent with her family and she cherished the time they spent together, especially with her grand and great grandchildren.

 In addition to her parents, her husband, Kent Carter; sister, Janice Doak and grandson, Andy Folden, all preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughters, Renee Gilbert of Jesup and Mary Elizabeth Alvarez Dela Campa of Homestead, Florida; grandsons, Bradley Gilbert and wife, Sharee and Steven Gilbert both of Jesup and George Folden of Orlando, Florida; great grandchildren, Madison Flowers and Baleigh Gilbert.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
