Rhonda Lynn (Harrell) Howard

Rhonda Lynn Harrell Howard, 49, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family after a long illness.

A resident of McIntosh County for the past thirty two years, Rhonda was born on January 7, 1973 in Douglas, Georgia.  She was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, sister, mother and grandmother who worked at Darien Beverage for many years and had also worked for Shell Creek Seafood Packing.  Rhonda truly loved flowers.  In her spare time she enjoyed working in her flower garden and taking fishing trips with her late husband, Leon Henry Howard.  In addition to her husband, her father, Colin Kelly Harrell, and her Granny Harrell preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Aubrey Merrow and husband, James;  son, Johnny Howard all of Townsend; mother, Audrey Adams of Waycross, Georgia; grandchildren, Wes Howard and Creek Merrow; sister, Sheila Farmer of Waverly, Georgia and brother, Eddie Harrell of Waynesville, Georgia.

Visitation will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2022 at the family residence on Blues Reach Road in Townsend.

Graveside Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2022 in the Gardner-Poppell Cemetery with Rev. Danny Stilwell officiating.

Active pallbearers will be Johnny Howard, James Merrow, Eddie Harrell, Briar Harrell and Axel Harrell.
