Renee Kempert Gilbert

Renee Kempert Gilbert, 62, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Wayne Memorial Hospital after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.

A resident of Jesup for nearly thirty years and former resident of Homestead, Florida, Renee was born on October 1, 1962 in Sidney, Ohio. She worked for many years as a florist and bookkeeper before taking a job at Walmart until health forced her retirement. Renee was bright, bubbly and always positive. She never met a stranger and she put 100% into everything she did.

Her mother, Rose Mary Carter, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her two sons, Bradley Gilbert of Jesup and Steven Gilbert and wife, Jena of Screven; father, Herbert Kempert of Eulonia and grandchildren, Bailey Gilbert and Madison Flowers both of Jesup. 

Memorial services will be private.
