Ramon Antonio Gomez

Ramon Antonio Gomez, 75, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah after a brief illness.

A native of the Dominican Republic and resident of Jesup, Georgia for nearly thirty-five years, Ramon was born on September 25, 1949 to the late Alexander Gomez and Paulina Amarante Gomez.  He worked many years for Duro-Med Industries and later worked for Rose Health Care LLC. After his employer relocated, Ramon had been repairing transmissions for the past several years.  In his spare time, Ramon enjoyed reading and tinkering with computers.

Survivors include his brother, Julio Amarante of Jarabocoa, Dominican Republic and sister, Celeste Rodriguez of New York, New York.  Numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.

Memorial services will be private with interment in Sunset Oaks Memorials in Jesup, GA.
