Paula Sue Lane, 70, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.
Paula was born on March 18, 1955 in Michigan to the late Joseph Andrew Drossart and Roselyn Joan Elliott Drossart. She spent her early years there before relocating to Indiana when she was eighteen or nineteen years old. Paula resided there for most of her life where she worked in several factories including Vikase Corporation and Cook Biotech until her retirement nearly ten years ago. After retirement, Paula relocated down South to Zephyr Hills, Florida, where she lived for several years before moving to Jesup, Georgia about a year ago. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, collecting lighthouses, taking trips to the beach and watching her grandchildren play sports. She was kind and loving in nature but could be stubborn if she needed to be. Her favorite times were spent with the ones she loved the most, her family. In addition to her parents, her husband, Robert Howard Lane, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Kara Lane Hutchins and husband, Donald of Jesup, Georgia; siblings, Edith Kaminski and husband, Ron, Linda Farnsworth, Stan Drossart and wife, Connie and Steve Drossart and wife Diane all of Michigan and two granddaughters, Kaleigh and Kelseigh Lane, both of Jesup, Georgia. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, adopted children and grandchildren also survive in addition to a large extended family.
Services will be private.
