Paul Bedat, Jr., 80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at home under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.

A resident of Jesup, Georgia for the past six months and former resident of Brandon, Florida for nearly thirty years, Paul was born on May 26, 1944 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to the late, Paul Bedat, Sr. and Jean Bedat.  He was blessed with the ability to build things and that was his passion as he worked as a self-employed carpenter for most of his life.  In his spare time, Paul enjoyed watching football and was a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan.  In addition to his parents, his half-sister, Jean Banckowski and his brother, Robert Bedat, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Suzanne Erbter Bedat of Pinellas Park, Florida; daughter, Kathryn Lanier and husband, Curtis of Jesup, Georgia and four grandchildren, Alexis Bedat, Mollysue Lanier, Haley Lanier and Lena Lanier.   A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.
