Mary Louise Trenerry, 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.
A resident of Jesup, Georgia for the past fifteen years, Mary was born on October 23, 1935 in Noblesville, Indiana. She relocated to Elk Rapids, Michigan at an early age with her family and graduated in the Elk Rapids High School Class of 1954. Mary met and married her late husband, William F. “Bill” Trenerry, a funeral director, and the two began to make a life for themselves and their family, relocating numerous times to different towns in Michigan. Mary was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She loved helping out at the funeral home, baking fancy cakes and making English pastries. She was an expert seamstress who oftentimes made clothes for her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed working in her flower garden and she always enjoyed spending time with the ones she loved the most, her beloved family.
In addition to her husband, her mother and father, Lloyd Michel and Elizabeth Wilson Meyncke; children, Sue Ellen and William Lloyd Trenerry and siblings, Richard, Russell and Johnny Meyncke, all preceded her in death.
Survivors include her two sons, Thomas Trenerry and wife, Sarah of Mancelona, Michigan and Michel Trenerry of Jesup, Georgia and one half sister, Clara Arvizu of Elk Rapids, Michigan. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.
Burial will take place beside her daughter in Oakwood Cemetery in Saginaw, Michigan.
