Marjorie Ann Moore, 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at home.

Marge was born on  September 12, 1940 to the late, Sylvester “Bill” and Irma Van Verth Streker in Hiawatha , Kansas.  After high school, Marge worked for a number of years in various office and management positions before moving to Germany after becoming a military spouse.  While in Germany she started working for the Department of Defense and she later transferred to Fort Stewart, Georgia where she continued her career for the next seventeen years.  In her spare time, Marge enjoyed cooking and spending time in the great outdoors, trying almost every outdoor activity at least once.  Fishing and hunting were two of her favorites as were camping and spending time at the hunting club.  Many good memories were made late at night catching dogs, building campfires and riding dirt roads. Marge was an expert at fishing and would frequently “out fish” the guys much to their dismay. In addition to her parents, her son, Byron Anderson; granddaughter, Raegan Anderson;  brothers, Herald and Robert Streker and partner Reinadlo “Rey” Torres, Jr. SSG US Army Ret., all preceded her in death.

Survivors include her two sisters, Ruth Smith and husband, Ron of Ozawkie, Kansas and Janet Cleveland and husband, George of Raymore, Missouri; grandson, Aaron Anderson and wife, Bailey of Hinesville, Georgia and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family members and close friends all whom she considered family.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at Howard & Jones Funeral Home in Jesup.  The family will receive friends after the services at the funeral home.
