Luby Henao De Trejos

Luby Henao De Trejos, 86, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Altamaha Health Care Center in Jesup under the care of GHC Hospice.

 A resident of Jesup since 2008, Luby was born on March 4, 1936 in Colombia to the late Graciela Velez and Eusebio Henao.  She loved her family very much and was a very dedicated and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother.  Luby was a talented seamstress who made dresses of all kinds including wedding dresses.  She passed the skills she learned on to her family by teaching her daughters how to sew.  Luby loved cooking and baking in her spare time and was a long time communicant of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Jesup. In addition to her parents, her husband, Roberto Trejos, and numerous brothers and sisters preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Loyda, Roberto, Eliasib, David, Herminia, Fernando, Edison, Yolanda and Alexander; grandchildren, Edwin, Erica, Irving, Alejandro, Kely, Jessica, Daniela, Jhon, Elvin, Joel, Steve, Sebastian, James and Alexandra.  Seven brothers and sisters, fifteen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Howard & Jones Funeral Home, 777 S. First St. Jesup, GA 31545.

Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 6:30 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1048 E. Cherry St., Jesup, GA 31546.

Interment will be held privately in Sunset Oaks Memorials.

Luby Henao De Trejos, de 86 años, falleció pacíficamente el martes 5 de julio de 2022 en el Centro de Atención Médica Altamaha en Jesup bajo el cuidado de GHC Hospice.

Residente de Jesup desde 2008, Luby nació el 4 de marzo de 1936 en Colombia de los difuntos Graciela Vélez y Eusebio Henao. Amaba mucho a su familia y era una hija, hermana, esposa, madre y abuela muy dedicada y amorosa. Luby era una costurera talentosa que hacía vestidos de todo tipo, incluidos vestidos de novia. Pasó las habilidades que aprendió a su familia enseñándoles a sus hijas a coser. A Luby le encantaba cocinar y hornear en su tiempo libre y fue comulgante durante mucho tiempo de la Iglesia Católica de San José en Jesup. Además de sus padres, su esposo, Roberto Trejos, y numerosos hermanos y hermanas la precedieron en la muerte.

El velorio se llevará a cabo de 4:00 a 6:00 p.m. el jueves 7 de julio de 2022 en Howard & Jones Funeral Home, 777 S. First St. Jesup, GA 31545.
