Lisa Jane Purvis Manning, 52, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville.
A resident of Wayne County for more than thirty-five years, Lisa was born April 13, 1971 in Fernandina Beach, Florida. She worked as a waitress most of her life at several different local restaurants including the Oyster Shack and Pine Forest Country Club. In her spare time, she loved riding dirt roads, singing and spending time with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren, who were the apple of her eye. Her mother, Sabrina Jones Manning and two brothers, Jason and Steven Purvis, all preceded her in death.
Survivors include her wife, Cheryl Roberson of Jesup; four children, Jessica Manning of Jesup, Timothy Manning of Jesup, Steven Manning and wife, Shayna of Jesup and Erica Long and husband, John of Waycross; father, Rodney Purvis and wife, Robin of Blackshear; brother, Adam Sapp and wife, Bobie of Hortense and Henry Sapp of Jesup and one sister, Malissie Sapp of McKinnon. A host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Howard & Jones Funeral Home in Jesup with Rev. Don Manning officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.
Interment services will be held privately in Manningtown Cemetery.
