Lillie Mae Russell

Lillie Mae Russell, 82, went to meet her Lord on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022 at home under the care of Hospice of South Georgia and her daughter.

A native and lifelong resident of Dublin, Georgia, Lillie Mae was born on January 28, 1940 to the late Fluker Etheridge and Susie Minter Etheridge.  She was a loving and devoted mother who became a “Granny” to most everyone she knew.   Lillie Mae loved to cook and enjoyed feeding anyone who stopped by to eat.  She was a longtime member of Moore Street Baptist Church where she never missed a service until her health began to decline.

In addition to her parents, her brothers, Alfred, Carlton and Wayne Etheridge and two children, Danny Russell, Sr. and Susan Swartz, all preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Laura Robinson of Blackshear, Georgia and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

Private services will be held at a later date.
