Lillian Clements Wright

Lillian Clements Wright, 85, passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at home under the care of GHC Hospice and her loving family.

A resident of Jesup for most of her life, Lillian was born on November 24, 1935 in Ludowici to the late, Dan and Aline Passmore Clements.  As a young woman, she worked at Waynlyne for a short time before taking a position with K-Mart from which she would retire after twenty-five years of employment. Lillian’s strong work ethic wouldn’t allow her to slow down much in retirement.  She continued working for the past fifteen years distributing Foster Grant sunglasses.  When she wasn’t working, she was helping to care for her family members who weren’t well or working on arts and crafts, all of which she shared with others.  Lillian loved hats and was proud of her large collection of hats.  She also enjoyed decorating and spending time with the ones she loved.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Joseph Leroy Wright, Sr.; her son, Joseph Leroy Wright, Jr. preceded her in death.

Survivors include her longtime caregiver, Robert Wright of Jesup; children, Thomas Wright and wife Patti of Jesup, Howard Wright of Jesup, Drucilla Kasperian and husband, Timmy of Ludowici, Judith Ann Montover of Jesup and Leila Johnson and husband, Charles of Jesup.  Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
