Laura "Kathy Lee" Copeland

Laura “Kathy Lee” Copeland, 70, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Hospice of the Golden Isles.

A resident of Jesup for most of her life, Kathy was born on December 2, 1954 to the late James Lester Johnson and Rosie Leola Spann Johnson.  She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed singing and dancing.  Kathy was feisty, strong and was the glue that held her family together.  She always enjoyed spending time with those she loved the most.  In addition to her parents, her husband, Jerry Waine Copeland and her infant daughter, Hope Lane Lee, both preceded her in death.

Survivors include her two daughters, Christina Lee and companion, Terry Bullard of Brunswick and Laura Moore and husband, Kevin of Jesup; bonus daughter, Rochell Davis of Jesup; grandchildren, Austin Lee and wife, Samantha of Jesup, Kami Lee of Brunswick, Nautica Lee of Jesup, Zayn Bullard of Brunswick, Blake Moore and fiancé, Brianna of Brunswick, Evelyn Moore of Brunswick and Cecilia O’Quinn and husband, Aaron of Brunswick and great grandchildren, Austin Lee, Jr., Willow Lee, Jerry Lee, Elianna Lee and Toby Moore.  Numerous extended family members also survive.

Memorial services will be held privately with interment beside her late husband in House of Prayer Cemetery.
