Latrell Jenkins, 46, affectionately known by her family and friends as Trell or Toni, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at home under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.
A resident of Screven for the past four years and a former resident of Beaufort and Hilton Head, South Carolina, Trell was born on March 27, 1974 in Allendale, South Carolina. She worked as a cook for many years in Plantation Station at The Sea Pines Resort and was always a loving and caring mother to her children. In her spare time, she enjoyed numerous outdoor activities including crabbing, fishing and traveling the countryside. She could do just about anything she put her mind to and she truly loved the time spent with the ones she loved the most.
Her mother, Linda Miller and her father, Jeffery Lee Capers preceded her in death.
Survivors include her two daughters, Tonesha Wilson and fiancé, Benjamin Major and Taylor Jenkins all of St. Helena, SC; siblings, Leon Miller, Jr. of Charlotte, NC, Kenneth Miller of Hampton, SC, Nicole Miller Jackson and husband, Travis of Hinesville, Roxanne Miller Payne and husband, Bobby of Barnwell, SC, Joseph King of Cummings, SC, Ponzella Wilson of Varnville, SC, Damian Capers of Aiken, SC, Tamika Capers of Hinesville, Antonio Capers of Cummings, SC and Jerod Capers of Cummings, SC; grandson, David Jenkins; companion of four years, Kenny Bryant of Screven; sister-in-law, Marilyn Theaker; brothers-in-law, Charles Bryant and wife, Darlene and Clay Rowe of Gum Branch and special friend and nephew-in-law, Phillip Thompson. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Howard & Jones Funeral Home in Jesup. The family will receive friends immediately following the services at the funeral home.
Interment will be held privately at a later date.
