Kenneth Martin Obituary
Kenneth Ronald Martin, 67, of Atlanta, passed away on November 3, 2013, due to complications from a lengthy illness.
He was born in Jesup, Georgia, to the late Robert Martin and Elizabeth Carter Martin. He attended Georgia Tech and GeorgiaStateUniversity, graduating with a Master's degree in biology. He taught biology for 7 years at The Lovett School and then at DruidHillsHigh School until his retirement. He enjoyed playing sports, especially tennis and soccer, and coached soccer and cross country. Ken was an active member of Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church and sang in the choir for many years.
He is survived by his wife Marianne, son David Martin, daughter Laura Martin Haney, son-in-law Kenny Haney, brother Robert Martin, and many loving family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church on Sunday, November 17, at 3:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the
Oglethorpe Presbyterian Church Food Pantry, 3016 Lanier Drive, Atlanta, GA 30319.
