June November Obituary
Ludowici- Mrs. Vera Barrett, 86, of Ludowici, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012, in the Wayne Memorial Hospital under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.
She was a native of Pierce County, Georgia, and lived in Ludowici for more than 50 years.
Mrs. Barrett is survived by her daughter, Kathy Walter (Doug), of Ludowici; her son, Jimmy Barrett (Janet) of Ludowici; grandchildren, Trey Barrett of Ludowici , Jason DeLoach (Tiffinie) of Ludowici, and Alicia Walter of Brunswick, one great-grandchild, Lilly DeLoach of Ludowici; a special caregiver, Marie Presley of Ludowici and several nieces and nephews.
Her husband, James L. Barrett, her father, William Spearman Brown, and her mother, Nancy Jane Sapp Brown preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 P.M., on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at Howard & Jones Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at 2:00 P.M. in the James R. Gordon Chapel at Howard & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley Todd and Rev. Greg Bentley officiating.
Interment will follow in the Barrett Cemetery in Long County.
Active pallbearers will be Tommy Brown, Floyd Brown, Franz Long, Glenn O’Neal, Dan Devereaux, and Jason Hartley.
Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Hospice of South Georgia.
Remembrances are suggested to Hospice of South Georgia, 1625 Sunset Blvd. Jesup, Georgia 31545.
