Julie Gertrude Harvey, 84, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at home.

A resident of Jesup for the past fifteen years, Julie was born on July 26, 1939 in Ipswich, Suffolk, England to the late, Alfred and Phyllis Lloyd Button.  After moving to the states, she resided in Florida where she worked as a District Manager for a convenience store chain managing eight stores.  Later, she and her late husband retired and moved to Jesup where she attended Unity Church of God for many years and enjoyed volunteering with the food pantry and helping out in any way she could.  Julie also volunteered her time with hospice and was always strong willed and determined.  In her spare time, she enjoyed collecting antiques and caring for her feline companions.  Julie was kindhearted, caring and never met a stranger.  She was also a graceful lady and a loving mother.  In addition to her parents, her husband, Robert Otis Harvey and her sister, Jennifer, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son, Shane of Jesup, GA; grandson, Sam; two sisters, Shirley and Phyllis and one brother, Keith, all of England.  Many friends and extended family members also survive.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Howard & Jones Funeral Home in Jesup with Reverend Stanley Todd officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Interment will follow in Sunset Oaks Memorials.
