Julie Rentz Agee

Julie Rentz Agee, 52, passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 5, 2022. She was at home, under the care of Hospice of South Georgia and her loving family.

Julie was born on November 14, 1969 to W. Derrell and Virginia Baxley Rentz.  Julie was a Christian, wife, mom of six, grandmother of three, missionary, blogger @ Godisup2something since 2010, and author.  Over the years she has been a champion for children at risk in foster care and orphanages in many countries.  She and her husband, Ben, adopted three daughters from China and have participated in orphan care ministry for over twenty years.  Julie loved serving her Savior, spending time with family, quilting and creating new treasures from second-hand items.

In addition to her parents, survivors include her husband of 29 years, Benjamin David Agee, three sons: Austin Agee and wife Taylor, Jordan Agee and wife Tricia, and Zachary Agee; three daughters: Sara Agee, Leighanne Carbaugh and husband Cason, and Hannah Agee; three granddaughters: Makayla Welch, Emma Agee, and Hailey Agee; three sisters: Sheryl Herrin and husband Dewayne, Kelley Emig and husband David, and Karen Lewis and husband Kelly; a host of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of life will be 10:30am on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Three Rivers Church in St Marys, GA with Benjamin Agee, Zane Owens, and Andy Carter officiating.  The service will be followed by lunch and fellowship in the fellowship hall of Three Rivers Church.  Julie requested that guests dress colorful for celebration.
