Judy Ann Rodden Colbert, 76, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026, at her home.
A resident of Jesup for the past thirty-three years, Judy was born on October 1, 1949 in Shreveport, Louisiana, to the late Jasper and June Rodden. She was a fiercely independent and tender-hearted woman who devoted her life to caring for others. Judy found joy in the simple things like being outdoors tending to her garden, and spending time with her fur babies. Her greatest joy came from encouraging and uplifting those around her. Whether it was a holiday or just because, Judy loved sending cards to brighten someone's day, always wanting others to feel remembered, valued, and loved.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her high school sweetheart and husband, Barry Alan Colbert, whom she shared over fifty-three loving years with.
Judy leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Christi Capps of Ray City, Georgia, and Lisa Morrison of Wedgefield, South Carolina; sister, Patsy Ricks of Jackson, Mississippi; and neices, June and Leslie.
Memorial Services will be private.
