Juanita Starling Moore

Juanita Starling Moore, 95, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2025 at Hospice of South Georgia surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness.

A resident of Jesup for over sixty years and former resident of Coffee County, Juanita was born on April 23, 1930 to the late, Aaron and Wealtha Flanders Starling.  She worked as an administrative assistant in the Human Resources department at Wayne Memorial Hospital for twenty-three years.  Juanita was a longtime member of Epworth United Methodist Church and was also a founding member of the Ruby Riggins Camellia Garden Club.  In her spare time, she enjoyed square dancing, shopping and traveling.  In addition to her parents, her husband, Marion “Tony” Moore, Sr., son, Ray Starling Moore; grandson, Michael Andrew Moore; three brothers and one sister, all preceded her in death. 

Survivors include her three sons, Marion Moore, Jr. of Americus, Georgia, Timmy Moore, Sr. and wife, Mary Lynn Moore of Brunswick and Gary Moore, Sr. and  wife Cindy Jackson Moore of Jesup;  one daughter, Cindy Moore Ward and husband, Doug Ward of Douglas;  grandchildren, Ray Moore and wife, Roni, Gary Moore, Jr. and fiancé, Krista Norvell, Jenny Moore, Timmy Moore, Jr., Mary Beth Hellman and husband, Matt, Matthew Miller and wife, Ally, Sarah Ward, Griffin Ward and Kelly Kessler; great grandchildren, Jalyn Martin, Cole Moore, River Moore, Ava Kessler, Waylon Miller, Baker Hellman and Barrett Hellman and daughter-in-law, Jamey Tyre and husband Gary.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 16, 2025 at Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery with Reverends Garth Duke-Barton and Jack Lee officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the services at the graveside.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
