Jolene Salter Anglon, 75, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 15, 2024 at home under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.
A resident of Wayne County for the past thirty-four years, Jolene was born on July 18, 1948 in Poulan, Georgia to the late Richard and Carrie Williams Salter. She was a long time member of Odum Baptist Church and was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. In her spare time, Jolene enjoyed shopping, fishing and riding horses. She cherished the time she spent with her family and she truly loved taking care of her feline friends known affectionately to her as her, “fur babies.” In addition to her parents, her husband, Rodney Anglon and sister, Flaudine Tillery, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Amanda Anglon and fiancé, Jeb Hutchinson of Jesup; one sister, Louverna Posey of Sylvester, Georgia and two grandchildren, Dylan and Kaitlin Copeland of Jesup. Numerous extended family members also survive.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Georgia Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Glennville.
