Jeanette Wise Dill, 84, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Memorial Health University in Savannah.
A resident of Jesup for the past twenty-five years, Jeanette was born on May 15, 1939 in Savannah, Georgia. Jeanette’s artistic abilities made her a natural at selling cosmetics. She sold Merle Norman cosmetics and worked as a makeup artist for many years. She was also a talented painter and singer having performed with her late husband in several bands including the Crimson Rose Gospel Group. She was inspired by nature and loved painting castles, beach scenes and light houses. She loved flowers, especially red roses and she cherished the time spent with her beloved family. Her mother, Cleo Wise; her husband, Ralph Valentine Dill; daughter, Abbie Hinton; two sons, Alan and Alvin Hinton and two brothers, Anthony and Richey Watts all preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Jeanine Brabham and husband, Chris of Ellalbell, Penny Burrage and husband, James of Jesup, Margie Vangiller and husband, Robert of Jesup, Debra Dixon and husband, Chris of Jesup and son, Noah Hinton and wife, Brooke of Jesup; sister, Algerine Largent and brother, Dewey Wise and wife, Peggy. A host of grandchildren, multiple great grandchildren and a numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive including the apple of her eye, great grandson, Ralphy Drew Hinton.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2023 at Howard & Jones Funeral Home in Jesup with longtime friend, Reverend Mark Downs officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Sunset Oaks Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Noah Hinton, Gage O’Neal, Brice Hadlock, Sonny Huynh, Tommy Huynh and Christopher Brabham.
