Janet Lynn (Kennedy) Martin

Janet Lynn Kennedy Martin, 50, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 9, 2024 at Southeast Georgia Health Systems, Brunswick Campus after a brief illness.

A native and lifelong resident of Darien, Janet was born on December 7, 1973.  She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother who cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Janet also enjoyed playing cards in her spare time.  Her father, Samuel Kennedy and her husband, Mark Matthew Martin, Sr., both preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Samantha Lynn and husband, Brandon of Guyton; three sons, Paul Martin and wife, Courtney of Walterboro, South Carolina, Jonathan Martin and wife, Jenna of Alton, Illinois and Mark Martin, Jr. and wife, Patricia of Augusta; mother, Winnie Kennedy of Darien; three sisters, Julie Kennedy of Darien, Jennifer Kennedy of Douglas and Joy Kennedy of Darien; brother, Joseph Kennedy of Darien; grandchildren, Luke, Sammie, Arieiana, Candice, Chloe, Mary, Mark, Jimmy, Samuel and Ashton and a lifelong friend who was more like a sister, Danielle Seavert.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Bible Baptist Church in Brunswick.
