Jana Kay Bell Kirkpatrick, 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Baptist Village in Waycross under the care of Heartland Hospice.
A resident of Jesup for nearly fourteen years, Jana was born on July 7, 1940 in Wellington, Kansas to the late, Merill and Elva Conover Bell. After graduation from High School, she met and married the love of her life, Kenneth Kirkpatrick, and the two began to make a life together. As a military family often does, they relocated regularly to different assignments as his career in the Marines required. Jana was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who truly loved people. She enjoyed helping out those less fortunate than herself and as a result of this, people loved her in return. In addition to her parents, her brother-in-law, Mike Kirkpatrick, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband of sixty years, Kenneth Kirkpatrick of Jesup; two children, Kevin Kirkpatrick of Jesup and Kelly Sinclair and husband, David of Screven; three grandchildren, Deanina, Devin and Dustin and four great grandchildren, Draycen, Dallas, Anna and Declan; one sister, Cheryl Price and husband, Dale of Salem, Oregon; two brothers-in-law, James Kirkpatrick and wife, Terri of Layton, Kentucky and Bill Kirkpatrick and wife, Krista of Waverly, Iowa. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.
Memorial services will be private.
