James Robert Riendeau, affectionately known as “Robbie” passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2020 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
A native and lifelong resident of Wayne County, Robbie was born on June 28, 1969. He was a master welder and fabricator by trade and was self-employed most recently. In the past, Robbie had worked many years with Day Break Insulation in Glennville, Kar Grabber Collision Repair Systems, where he built the tools necessary for collision repair, and also Delta Airlines. When he wasn’t welding, he did a little truck driving on the side and tinkered with cars, trucks and motorcycles when he wasn’t working. He was a jokester and loved making people laugh more than anything.
His mother, Laotha Riendeau and his sister-in-law, Nickie Riendeau both preceded him in death.
Survivors include his children, Chelsea Riendeau, James Riendeau and wife, Kayla, Charles Crews and Jenna Lewis and husband, Rex; father, Arthur Riendeau; two brothers, Terry Riendeau and wife, Marsha and Ricky Riendeau and sister, Sandy Burks all of Jesup and eleven grandchildren, Katelynn, Jeremy, Bobby, Samuel, Daniel, Matthew, Joseph, Raymond, Skylar, Emma and Colton. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.
Visitation will be from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Howard & Jones Funeral Home in Jesup.
Services will be held privately at a later date.
