James Edward “Eddie” Clary, 53, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at home under the care of GHC Hospice.
A native and lifelong resident of Wayne County, Eddie was born on July 14, 1968. He graduated from Wayne County High School with the class of 1986 before attending Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC). Eddie had worked as a millwright and he was an expert machinist, but he loved farming. Always an avid outdoorsman, when he wasn’t farming, he enjoyed fishing, especially for white perch. He also enjoyed horses, motorcycles and hunting, but more than anything else, Eddie loved spending time with the ones he loved the most, his family. Eddie took time to teach his children the value of hard work and in his later years enjoyed sitting back watching the grandkids play.
His father, Revis Clary; son, James Decoda Clary; “in-laws”, Rick and Sarah Sellers; paternal grandparents, J.E. and Ada Clary and maternal grandparents, James and Oveida Johnson, all preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of thirteen years, Rikki Sellers Clary of Odum; children, John Taylor Clary (Bekka) of Odum and Madilyn, Sara-Hayden and Ada Gail Clary all of Odum; mother, Gail Clary of Odum; siblings, Shnelda Reddish ( Brad) , Archie Clary (Beth) and Lana Carter (Pat) all of Odum and Ginger Havard (Dwayne) of Warner Robbins, Georgia; grandchildren, Carley, Peyton, Cooper, Cash, Braxton, Jordyn, Bentley, Kadence and Micha. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Turning Point Worship Center with Reverends, Justin Mitchell, Larry Harris and Joseph Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church.
