Harriett Gail (Wills) Crockett

Harriett Gail Wills Crockett, 66, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Candler Hospital in Savannah.

A longtime resident of Jesup, Harriett was born on June 15, 1958 in Brunswick, Georgia to the late Harry Lewis Wills and Lillian Elizabeth Marr Wills.  She was a strong and courageous woman with a great sense of humor and a passion for singing.  Harriett was quite eccentric and was known to carry handcuffs in case of an emergency.  She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother who instilled the values she held close to her heart in her children.  In her spare time, Harriett enjoyed gardening and caring for animals.  In addition to her parents, her husband, David Crockett and her siblings, Diane Laager and David Bearden, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Mary Tankersley and husband, Brian of Hortense, Crystal Faircloth of Brunswick, Casey Crockett of South Carolina, Levi Crockett of Jesup and Zacariah Wills and siblings, Janet Montez and husband Arnold and Michael Bearden and wife, Michaela all of Brantley County.  A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.
