Obituary
Gloria Mae Tipton, 73, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at home under the care of Hospice of South Georgia Inc.
A resident of Jesup, Georgia for the past year and former resident of Grand Island, Florida, Gloria was born on October 4, 1949 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin to the late William and Anona Roberts. She lived most of her life in Fond du Lac where she worked as a certified nursing assistant until her retirement several years ago. Gloria enjoyed knitting, working crossword puzzles and socializing with her family and friends. She was a “die hard,” Green Bay Packers fan who also loved watching wrestling and Young Sheldon on television. In addition to her parents, her son, Greg and grandson, Kamden, also preceded her in death.
In addition to her husband survivors include her daughter, Rose Duarte and husband, Victor of Grand Island, Florida; sister, Elizabeth Roberts of Little Chute, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Kameron and fiancé, Rowan, Khalil, Kaiden, Miranda and Xavier and longtime friend who was more like a daughter, Bianca a.k.a. “Beyoncé” and family.
Private interment services will take place at a later date in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Hospice of South Georgia for all the loving care they gave Gloria during her final days on Earth. Each of you went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure she was well taken care of and we are most appreciative of your efforts.
