Glen Carrol Scott Obituary

Glen Carrol Scott, 70, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 22, 2024 under the care of Hospice of South Georgia surrounded by his family.


A resident of Wayne County for most of his life, Glen was born on July 27, 1953 in Jesup.  He graduated from Wayne County High School in the Class of 1971 and worked as a farmer for most of his life.  When he wasn’t working, Glen was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed trips to the rodeo, hunting and fishing.   He was preceded in death by his father, Jinks Henry Scott and his grandson, Samuel “Dylan” Hargrove.


Survivors include his daughter, Michelle Hargrove and husband, Mike of Jesup; two sons, Ethan Wagnon and wife, Eryn of Alexandria, Virginia and Garrett Wagnon of Jesup; mother, Fay Scott of Jesup; grandson, Morgan Wagnon.  A host of extended family members also survive.


A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at Old Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Parnell Aldridge officiating.  The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the services at the cemetery.
