Fred W. Laster

Fred W. Laster, 72, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021 at home.

A resident of Jesup for the past twenty years and former longtime resident of Augusta, Fred was born on August 8, 1949 in Augusta, Georgia to the late Farris and Ida Watson Laster.  He was a painter by trade who enjoyed spending time with his family members.  In addition to his parents, his brothers, Farris W. and Joseph Will Laster, both preceded him in death.

Survivors include his sisters, Sheila Diane McCoy of Warner Robbins, Sally Elizabeth “Judy” McCoy and husband, Fred of Hephzibah, Linda Carol Westberry of Jesup, Donna Lynn Anderson and husband, Charles of Baxley and Connie Francene Lively and husband, Julius of Lincolnton and one brother, Phil Lee Laster and wife, Marsha of Jesup.   His daughter, Lynn; son, Freddie and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 20, 2021 at Howard & Jones Funeral Home in Jesup with Reverend Danny Daniels officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Interment will be private.
