Florence Gwynne Arnold, 74, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A resident of Jesup for the past thirty years, Gwynne was born on March 8, 1948 in Live Oak, Florida. She worked for a short time at the Clerk of Courts office in Wayne County before beginning a career as a DUI Instructor which she would continue for the next thirty years eventually owning her own DUI school, Jesup Driver Improvement. In her spare time, Gwynne enjoyed scrapbooking, playing cards and watching television, especially The Bold and the Beautiful. She was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren more than anything. Her father, Fred V. Brooker, her mother, Mary Lamb Brooker and her husband, Jimmy Arnold, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her two sons, Steven Tupper and wife, Jennifer of Odum, GA, John Tupper of Hinesville, GA and Becky Reason of Jesup, GA; two sisters, Anne Beals and Pat Neighbor both of Jacksonville, FL and grandchildren, Kristin Tupper of Odum, GA, McKalee Tupper of Statesboro, GA, Logan Tupper of Jesup, GA, Austin Reason of Germany and Cebella Tupper of Hinesville, GA. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family also survive in addition to her adopted grandson, Kaleb Hall and adopted daughter, Melinda Williams and husband, Tony.
Funeral services will be at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2022 at Howard & Jones Funeral Home in Jesup with Rev. Justin Ellis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Interment will be private.
