Faye Elizabeth Poole, 72, passed away Monday, April 11, 2022 at home under the care of Hospice of South Georgia, Inc.
A resident of Jesup for the past twenty-eight years and a former resident of Baxley, Faye was born on May 9, 1949 to the late Winston and Frances Cooper Mobley. She was a lifelong member of Gum Branch Baptist Church and loved singing in her younger years. Faye loved her family and would do anything she could to help the ones she loved. Her sense of humor was second to none and she always loved joking around and having fun.
Survivors include her husband of twenty-eight years, Herman Poole of Jesup; daughters, Dana Eason of Baxley and Kristina Dixon (Wesley) of Dublin; sons Terry Porterfield (Josh) of Kentucky and Tony Porterfield (Tina) of Ft. Payne, Alabama; two sisters, Cindy Thornton (David) of Gum Branch and Kay Coffman of Baxley and one brother, Wayne Mobley (Kim) of Hinesville. A host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Howard & Jones Funeral Home in Jesup with Reverends, Stanley Todd, Richard Grice and David Bohannon officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
