Douglas Lionel “Doug” Cravy, Sr.

Douglas Lionel Cravy, Sr.,known affectionately as Doug, passed away on August 11, 2024, at the age of 65 in Jesup, Georgia. Born on March 28, 1959, in Galveston, Texas, Doug was a cherished member of his community and a beloved figure within his family.

Doug is survived by a loving family that includes his son, Douglas Cravy, Jr., and, Sonya; his daughter, Janene Diaz, and her husband, Ben; and his daughter, Breanna Cravy. He was a proud grandfather to Naomi Payne, Taylor Harris, Tyler Cravy, Vanessa Villarreal, Douglas Cravy III, and Steven Greer III.

He also leaves behind his siblings, Darrell Cravy and his wife, Patricia; Darla Garrison and her husband, Gerald; Dwayne Cravy and his wife, Karen; Donna Miller; and Danette Santti. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin “Bj” Cravy and Janie Mae Cravy (Sladek), and his brother, Daniel Cravy and his grandson Zachary Cravy.

Doug's life was marked by his warmth and generosity, traits that endeared him to many. He will be deeply missed by friends, family, and all who knew him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and through the many lives he touched
