Dormon H. Bennett

Dormon H. Bennett, 77, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Wayne Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

A resident of Millwood, Georgia for nearly twenty years, Dorman was born on January 25, 1945 to the late Elmon and Eudell Bennett.  He was a welder by trade who loved fishing and playing the guitar.  Dormon also enjoyed spending time with his “Millwood Family,” who he checked up on regularly, dancing and spending time with the ones he loved.  In addition to his parents, two children, Lewis Bennett and Kimberly Scarborough; two brothers, D.C. and Delvin Bennett and one sister, Dorothy Stenstrom, all preceded him in death.

Survivors include one daughter, Keri Bennett of Tampa, Florida and his caregiver and companion, Frances Locklear and Will Jones both of Jesup, Georgia.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.

A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Howard & Jones Funeral Home in Jesup, Georgia.

Services and interment will be private.
