Donna Altman Blackmon

Donna Altman Blackmon, 75, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Altamaha Health and Rehabilitation under the care of Hospice of South Georgia after an extended illness.

A resident of Darien for many years, Donna was born on February 12, 1949 in Brunswick to the late, Harold Jefferson Altman and Kola Grace Altman. She was employed with Bellsouth for many years until her retirement. Donna was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother who cherished the time she spent with her beloved grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping and giving gifts to those she loved. In addition to her parents, her husband, Ernest “Possum” Blackmon and her siblings, Debra Altman, Ann Mizell and Randy Altman, all preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son, Craig Blackmon of Darien; two brothers, David Altman of Brunswick and Jeff Altman and wife, Susan of Brunswick and two grandchildren, Brieana Blackmon and Damiyen Blackmon. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.

Private interment services will be held in Rob Lewis Cemetery in Raybon.
