Donald Ray Landon, 72, of Jesup, Georgia, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife and children. He was born on November 25, 1952, and lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to God, his family and work.
Donald was the beloved husband of 53 years to Vicki Landon, who survives him. Donald was a wonderful father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose witty and fun-loving spirit, unwavering love, and quiet strength touched all who knew him.
He is also survived by his children Tori (Shawn) Carroll, Amy Beasley, and Michael (Rhonda) Landon, all of Jesup, Georgia; grandchildren Nathan (Alanna) Campbell, Makayla (Andrew) Hurst, Makenzie (Simon) Fraser, Shelbi (Patrick) Howard, Jonathan Landon, Emily Carroll, Kase Beasley, and Easton Carroll; and great-grandchildren Levi and Leyton Campbell and Dawsyn Hurst. As well as his sister Janet (Parnell) Aldridge and several nieces and nephews who cherished him dearly.
Donald spent the greater part of his career farming or driving a truck for Mackenzie Tank Lines, where he was respected for his strong work ethic, loyalty, and dedication. Outside of work, he was known for his kindness, steady presence, and sense of humor. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
Donald will be remembered for his dedication to God, his deep love for his family, and the many lives he touched through his compassion and integrity.
There will be a memorial/graveside service held at New Hope Free Will Baptist Church cemetery in Madray Springs, Georgia at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 11, 2025 with Rev. Randy Pruitt officiating.
