Deidra Joy Browning, 60, affectionately known by her family and friends as DeeDee passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A resident of Screven for the past eight years and former resident of Dalton, GA and Waynesville, GA, DeeDee was born on October 18, 1960 in Brunswick to the late William Henry Browning and Lillian Gibson Browning. Deidra was a kind hearted and loving person who never met a stranger. She enjoyed spending time with her family and caring for her beloved canine companions, Precious and Mickey, Deidra also loved watching the Hallmark Channel and Big Brother on television and was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs. In addition to her parents, her sister, Gerry Tobias and her dog, Scooter, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her siblings, Joann Clark of Screven, Betty Jean Lewis of Townsend, Johnny Browning of Screven, Bobby Browning and wife, Danette of Odum and Debbie Ellis of Woodstock, GA. A host of very special nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.
Graveside funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2021 in Ella Park Cemetery in Camden County with Rev. Terry Allen officiating. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the services at the cemetery.
