Deborah Jean (Flowers) Wynhamer

Deborah Jean Flowers Wynhamer, 62, passed away Monday, February 21, 2022 at Doctors Hospital of Augusta.

A native and lifelong resident of Wayne County, Debbie was born on August 27, 1959 to the late John Henry Flowers and Arizona Ruth Brooker Flowers.  She attended church regularly at the Emmanuel Baptist Church and loved cooking and baking cakes in her spare time. Debbie was known for her baking skills, especially when it came to Fruit Cake, Red Velvet Cake and Pound Cake.  She loved taking walks and riding her bicycle as much as she loved shopping and her short Saturday afternoon get away trips.  In addition to her parents, her sister, Lois Howell, two brothers, Ken and J.C. Flowers and her two beloved canine companions, Roy and Blackie, all preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of thirty-eight years, Jim Wynhamer; son, Danny Gastel; brother, Robert Flowers and sisters, Cindy Flowers, Gail Cook, Colleen Flowers and Linda Flowers all of Jesup.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
