Daneika (Buckley) Hubbard

Daneika Buckley Hubbard, 30, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 in Jesup, Georgia.

Daneika was born on September 20, 1994 in Neptune, New Jersey.  She was a beautiful girl that developed into a woman full of love. Daneika was a student of the Bible as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses where she served as an auxiliary pioneer for four years and a regular pioneer for ten years.  She loved the ministry and the neighbors loved her wherever she went. Daneika loved all her brothers and sisters and enjoyed helping them any time she could, always with the same familiar and friendly smile. 

Daneika relocated from New Jersey to Jesup, Georgia as a student.  She attended Wayne County School System and was an honor roll student, graduating from Wayne County High School in 2012 as a double honor student.   After graduation, Daneika returned to Neptune, New Jersey for a brief period where she married the love of her life, Gamall Hubbard.  Shortly after, the couple relocated to Valdosta and then Hahira, Georgia where they had a beautiful son, Greyson.  She began to grow and blossom as a beautiful woman with her husband. Daneika continued her education at Valdosta State University where she was also an honor student as she sought her degree in hopes of becoming a Dental Hygienist.  She was a chemist, a manager, a personal patient assistant and a makeup artist.  While working at Sephora, Daneika was able to gain experience working with makeup and began her own business, called simply Dotful, where she applied makeup for her clients’ special events in Georgia and New Jersey, especially weddings and professional portraits.   In her spare time, she loved decorating and outdoor gardening.  Daneika cherished the time she was able to spend with the ones she loved.  She hosted cook outs and gatherings of family and friends to continue to build hope and unity within those around her.  Her personality was one of peace and joy and she was always quick to forgive.  Yes, she was known to get angry at times, but she was always quick to apologize and never held a grudge.  Daneika was always smiling regardless of her circumstances and she never let her trials and tribulations stop her from helping others. 

Survivors include her husband, Gamall Hubbard of Hahira, Georgia; infant son, Greyson Hubbard; parents, Donret and Sandra Drummer Buckley of Jesup, Georgia; sister, Areika Buckley of Jesup; mother-in-law, Sharon Morgan of Neptune, New Jersey; father-in-law, Gary Hubbard of Asbury Park, New Jersey and a host of brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and extended family members too numerous to mention.

Visitation will be held from 2:30 until 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Howard & Jones Funeral Home in Jesup, Georgia.

A Memorial Talk and repast will follow immediately, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Cracker Williams Community Center.
