Colonel Keith Alan Scorza

Colonel Keith Alan Scorza, a loving husband, dedicated father, esteemed military officer, and compassionate physician, was born on September 21, 1970, and departed from this world on October 12, 2023, at the age of 53. It is with heavy hearts that we mourn his loss, yet celebrate a life of extraordinary service and dedication.

Keith's life was a testament to courage, honor, and an unwavering commitment to his country. He dedicated twenty-five years of his life to the United States Army, achieving the esteemed rank of Colonel, the highest of any field-grade officer. Being awarded two Bronze Stars and the Meritorious Service Medal, among others, his military journey was nothing short of remarkable.  As an amazing and talented family practice and sports medicine doctor, he served as director of Robinson Health Clinic. He was also the Division Surgeon of the 82nd Airborne and had proudly served two tours of duty in Afghanistan and one tour in Iraq.

Keith is preceded in death by his mother, Judy and brother-in-law, SPC Paul Bueche.

Keith is survived by his beloved wife, Melissa, and their five adoring children: Kathryn, Illeana, Elizabeth, Johnny, and Joey. He is also remembered by his father, Kenneth, and his brothers, Brett (Jenny) and Kevin (Anda). A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at St. James Catholic Church, 8412 Whitefield Ave. Savannah, GA 31406.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church.  Military honors will be rendered by the United States Army.

Private interment services will be held in Beaufort National Cemetery.

Colonel Scorza, through his military service and medical expertise, touched countless lives. He dedicated himself to healing, both on the battlefield and in his medical practice, leaving an indelible mark on those he cared for. His love for his family was boundless, and his legacy will forever endure in their hearts. His memory will forever be cherished and greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
