Christopher Ryan Purvis

Christopher Ryan Purvis, 32, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022.

A lifelong resident of Nahunta and Jesup, Chris was born on February 9, 1989 in Brunswick, GA.  He worked in construction, operating heavy equipment, for most of his life and was a graduate of FreeHeart Life Recovery Center. Chris loved God and had an amazing and passionate style of worship.  He was a part of the StreetSalt Ministries family and was always talking to God and studying the scriptures as part of his daily routine.  Chris always had a determined spirit and he wouldn’t stop until he reached his goal.  He had a big heart and loved to help others any time he could.  In his spare time, Chris enjoyed trips to the gym to work out.

Survivors include his wife, Angel Marie Purvis of Jesup; mother, Victoria Purvis and husband, Gerald Peete of Nahunta; father, Russell Gordon of Brunswick; sister, Lexy Odum and husband, Rusty of Nahunta and brothers, Devin Troy and Paul Gordon both of Nahunta; grandmother, Cora Lee Purvis of Nahunta and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at StreetSalt Ministries, 948 Sunset Blvd. Jesup, GA 31545.
