Christopher Anthony Bush, Sr., 60, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Chris was born on April 26, 1966, in Gordon, Georgia, and lived in Jesup for many years. He worked in construction and was known as a hardworking man who enjoyed fishing and working on cars. Chris had a kind and generous heart, always willing to help anyone in need. To know Chris was to love him. He will be remembered for his loving, caring nature and the joy he brought to those around him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Bush; and stepfather, Leroy Miczek.

He is survived by his mother, Emily Williams Miczek of Cottageville, South Carolina; sons, Christopher Anthony Bush, Jr. and Jeremy Bush, both of Florida; brother, James Bush of Tyson, Georgia; sisters, Sonia Zavala (Alvaro) of Winder, Georgia, and Jesenia Thompson (Phillip) of Maryland; stepsisters, Ashley McDougald, Stephanie Fisher (Timmy) and Toni Rosato (Dominic) all of South Carolina; his longtime girlfriend, Ashli Carter, and her children; several grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and many dear friends who will miss him greatly.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
