Chris Bearden

Sheila Chris Bearden, 46, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022 at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida after a lengthy illness.

A native and lifelong resident of Wayne County, Chris was born on December 30, 1975.  She was a loving daughter, sister and mother who worked hard to take care of her family.  Chris was a housekeeper by trade who enjoyed fishing and listening to music in her spare time.  She loved to laugh and had an easy going, light hearted nature.  Her father, Fred H. Miller and her maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. P.R. Stephens, preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, Brandon and Trenton Bearden of Brantley County; mother, Alice Miller of Jesup and siblings, Marty Teston and wife, Jannette, Sharon Lane, Eddie Griffis and Kenneth Wilkerson all of Jesup.  A host of aunts, uncles, nieces,  nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Howard & Jones Funeral Home in Jesup.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Interment will be private.
