Catherine Lorraine Lacefield, 61, affectionately known as Kitten or Cathy by her friends and family, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2019 at home.
The California native was born on February 28, 1958 to the late Phil and Sarah Catherine Hall Johnson. She moved around quite frequently in her younger years as a military wife before settling in Florida, where she lived until relocating to Screven a few months ago. Kitty worked as a sales associate with Wal-Mart and enjoyed wood working and crafts of all kinds in her spare time.
Survivors include her two sons, David Lacefield and wife, Alyssa of Screven and Christopher Scott Lacefield of Jacksonville; two brothers, Phil Johnson and wife, Tina of Tallahassee and Bill Johnson and wife, Colleen of Jacksonville and four grandchildren, Spencer, Carson and Carley Lacefield and Lilly Nail. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members also survive.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Howard & Jones Funeral Home in Jesup.
Memorial services will be held privately at a later date.
